I've been at this for a long time. In 1994 I built my first web site, and I've been building them for myself and clients ever since.

I've seen just about everything the internet has to offer. The highs and the lows. Unfortunately, right now, there are a lot of "lows" out there. What I mean are people who have found the easy way to make a quick buck is to dupe unsuspecting prospects into get rich programs.

The thing is, the only people who get rich are the people selling the scams.

OK.

So how do you make any money on the internet, now that the "get rich days hoopla" is over?

  1. A little persistence
  2. A little work
  3. A little patience
  4. And most importantly... keep it honest.

So can it really be done? Can you make money online now? The answer to both questions is and absolutely YES!

I suppose some proof would help. Obviously, why would you listen to me unless I can back it up.

So the question is... why is Google paying out this sort of cash????

Google has a program called Adsense. In this program, you run ads produced by Google on your web site. This is what one of those ads looks like:

However, did you know that when someone clicks on any of those ads, you instantly make money? Imagine for one moment what it would would be like to have a web site with over 100+ pages displaying these money making ads.

In the past, what we did was build automated sites with hundreds and hundreds of garbage pages. But, it wasn't long before Google figured this out and banned all those sites. This was the best thing that happened for you and me! Why? Because most people won't spend the time and effort to build a quality web site with quality content.

The fact is... if your site is not listed in the Google search engine... it's just not going to get any visits. No visits... no money. It's as simple as that.

So, what's the answer?

It's just not feasible to pay this much money to get people to visit your web site.

  4. Look "Natural"
    This get's a little technical... but in a nutshell most search engine specialists believe the major search engines (who will be providing the free traffic to your site) can tell if your web site is growing over time or just gets loaded up in one fell swoop. It is believed that the search engines prefer a site to grow over time because this is a much more natural thing than a 300 page site popping up over night.

  5. A way to "Monetize" the site.
    Technically, we don't sell anything on these sites so it's necessary to find a way to make a buck at virtually giving away information. The trick is to provide the information the customer is looking for and also run advertising that will generate income. As well as Google ads (where you get paid when they click on the ad) I also suggest running ads from Affiliate Networks like Clickbank, Commission Junction, and several others. These are programs where the ads on your site are coded with a unique code and if a person purchases a product or service, you would earn a commission from the merchant.

just how do you make any money doing this?

The fact is most people use the internet to find information. They do not go online with the specific intention to buy products. Your web site supplies this need for information.

I'll show you how to setup the web site and provide you with the quality content. Over time Google, Yahoo and the MSN search engines will index (read) your site and put all this information in their database. Then, many people searching for this information will find your site.

When people visit your web site, they will see Google ads for products and services they are searching for. You earn a commission every time someone clicks on one of these ads.

In addition to Google ads, you can also run high converting Clickbank and Commission Junction affiliate ads. These are for products or services and you earn a commission when a sale is made.

The "key" is your site does not sell anything. This is why it is much easier to get the free search engine traffic to it.

  • Step One: Choose a Topic

The domain name is not as important as you may think using my system. If you don't know what domain name to pick, then think about the topic you have chosen for your site above. For example, if you picked dating, you could pick a domain like: http://www.ilovedating.com as an illustration. If that name is taken you could pick a name like: http://www.i-love-dating.com or http://www.ilovedatingdating123.com You get the idea. You can use any combination of names, number, or alphabetical letters to create your domain name. It's easy. As you can see, the name is not that really important because once you have a domain name, then you are on to step three which is getting simple hosting account. Finally, I really do think it is best to choose a .com or .net domain name.
